Sidebase Open-Source Contributor & Senior TS Dev (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking a Senior TypeScript Developer with a passion for open-source contribution. In this role, you will:

• Write, maintain, and enhance open-source projects, actively engaging with the developer community
• Address community issues, create comprehensive documentation, and develop strategic vision for open-source initiatives
• Build robust fullstack applications using TypeScript, modern frameworks, and cutting-edge technologies
• Collaborate with product managers to conceptualize, architect, and implement projects within agile teams
• Mentor and guide junior developers, helping them advance their technical skills through collaborative projects

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a developer who combines technical excellence with community engagement:

• Open-source experience: Demonstrated history of contributing to and engaging with open-source communities
• Strong TypeScript or JavaScript proficiency: Solid understanding of modern frameworks like Vue or React
• Modern technology expertise: Experience with current-generation frameworks and container orchestration tools
• Code quality focus: Pride in writing clean, composable, peer-reviewed code that meets high standards
• Hands-on approach: Willingness to complete a real-world coding challenge during the application process—our client values developers who actively code, not just manage
• Communication skills: Excellent English communication; German is a bonus
• Collaborative mindset: Passion for shaping the future of open-source through teamwork

This position is based in Cologne with flexible remote and hybrid options available.
