What This Role Involves

AECOM's Sustainability and Resilience team partners with councils, infrastructure owners, utilities, and government agencies to help plan, design, and deliver more resilient infrastructure. As a Senior Sustainability & Resilience Consultant, you will advise clients on climate risk, adaptation, and resilience across nationally significant transport, water, energy, and built environment projects.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of environmental impacts and develop sustainable solutions for infrastructure projects.
  • Develop strategies to enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure against natural disasters and climate change.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sustainability and resilience into project designs and deliverables.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory compliance, policy development, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Master's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sustainability, resilience, or environmental consulting within the infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record of delivering sustainable and resilient infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of climate risk assessment and adaptation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and client relationship skills.
