Project Manager (Rail and Transit)

About the Role

As Project Manager for Rail and Transit, you'll oversee the delivery of significant capital programs within Bay Area transit systems. This position combines strategic oversight with day-to-day project management, where your leadership directly influences public transportation infrastructure serving Oakland and Alameda County communities and the broader Bay Area.

What You'll Do

• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources for BART and regional transit capital programs
• Engage with diverse stakeholders including transit agencies, government partners, contractors, and community organizations
• Track project progress against timelines and financial parameters, identifying and addressing emerging risks
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing public transit infrastructure
• Lead cross-functional project teams toward timely delivery of project milestones and deliverables
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and communications
• Facilitate coordination between internal teams, external clients, and partner organizations

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing projects for Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) or comparable large-scale transit agencies
• Demonstrated success leading complex capital programs in transportation or infrastructure
• Strong planning and problem-solving capabilities for multi-faceted project environments
