About This Position
At Coinbase, we are dedicated to increasing economic freedom through cutting-edge technology. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Consumer & Business Advanced Trading team, you will be at the forefront of developing next-generation trading systems for IntX product. You'll lead multi-quarter initiatives that define how millions of customers trade and mentor engineers across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Owning the technical vision and architecture for mission-critical trading systems, including order management, execution engines, and reliability infrastructure.
- Driving multi-quarter projects across multiple engineering teams from design through production delivery.
- Leading system design and code review processes that elevate engineering quality and set standards for the trading stack.
- Partnering with Product Management and Design to align product strategy with long-term technical bets and roadmap priorities.
- Shaping the strategic direction of the trading platform by identifying high-leverage technical initiatives and driving continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in building and scaling complex, mission-critical systems.
- A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver large-scale projects on time.
- Strong understanding of order management, execution engines, and reliability infrastructure in the context of trading systems.
- Ability to mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
- Experience with modern software development practices including code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
