Senior Living Community Maintenance Director

Brazos Presbyterian Homes is seeking a Senior Living Community Maintenance Director to lead all facilities operations at The Hallmark, our upscale retirement community in Woodside, Houston. This is a full-time position where you'll oversee maintenance operations, manage a dedicated team, and ensure our residents enjoy a safe, well-maintained living environment.

About the Role

As Maintenance Director for this Life Plan Community, you'll be responsible for the comprehensive upkeep of our residential and common areas. Since 1972, The Hallmark has maintained its reputation as the region's premier senior living destination in Houston's Galleria/Tanglewood area. Your leadership will ensure our facilities continue to meet the highest standards our residents expect.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff across all community departments
• Manage routine and emergency maintenance requests, prioritizing resident safety
• Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and upgrades
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and control operational costs
• Ensure compliance with safety codes, building regulations, and industry standards
• Plan preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Maintain detailed work logs and facility documentation
• Respond to urgent facility issues and lead emergency response coordination

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or certification preferred
• 5+ years of maintenance management experience in a multi-building or senior living environment
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance
• Proven supervisory and team management experience
• Ability to manage budgets and control operational expenses
• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
