About the Role
As a QA Tech on the 1st Shift in Oakland, Pottawattamie County, you will safeguard product quality throughout the production process. Working on-site for OSI Careers, you'll carry out routine line audits and verification checks to confirm that every item is produced within specification and that all production and sanitation standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of in-line audits and tests during active production to confirm output meets defined specifications.
- Check and log the internal cooking temperatures of finished products to ensure they fall within required ranges.
- Verify metal detector performance using calibration standards; when a unit is found defective, hold affected product and re-inspect everything produced since the last successful check.
- Monitor adherence to proper production protocols and sanitary procedures across the line.
- Accurately document audit results and quality records throughout the shift.
Qualifications
- Availability to work the 1st Shift on-site, between the hours of 4:50 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
- Careful attention to detail and a commitment to consistent, accurate record-keeping.
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance practices is an asset.
- Comfortable using measurement and inspection equipment such as thermometers and metal detector standards.
- Ability to follow established procedures reliably in a fast-paced production environment.
