What You'll Do

• Design, implement and maintain core infrastructure components covering servers, networks and virtualisation layers to meet performance targets.
• Oversee day-to-day operations including capacity forecasting, configuration management and routine health checks across production estates.
• Respond to incidents promptly, perform root-cause analysis and drive permanent remediations to minimise future disruption.
• Automate repetitive tasks with scripting and orchestration tools that streamline provisioning and change processes.
• Collaborate with development and security teams to embed reliable deployment pipelines and compliance controls into ongoing operations.
• Document runbooks, standards and architecture decisions so institutional knowledge remains accessible for the broader Premierresearch team.

Requirements

• Proven background as a Senior Infrastructure and Operations Engineer I or equivalent senior-level experience managing complex IT environments.
• Solid command of operating systems, network protocols, storage technologies and virtualisation platforms commonly used in enterprise settings.
• Hands-on proficiency with infrastructure-as-code practices, monitoring suites and automation frameworks that reduce manual effort.
• Ability to troubleshoot multi-tier systems under pressure while communicating findings clearly to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to continuous learning and a collaborative mindset suitable for on-site work in Bulgaria.
