Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Ruby/React & TS)

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing European fintech organization seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join their remote engineering team. In this role, you will be a core contributor to your squad, building reliable and scalable products that serve small and medium-sized businesses across Europe.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Leading significant technical deliveries from problem understanding through design, implementation, testing, and production deployment
• Investigating and resolving complex production issues using monitoring, observability, and data analysis tools
• Designing and evolving robust solutions while identifying performance, scalability, and reliability opportunities
• Improving engineering practices through high-quality code reviews, pair programming, documentation, and RFCs
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clearly communicating progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders
• Acting as a technical role model, sharing knowledge and providing actionable feedback to help the team continuously improve
• Contributing to the broader tech community through technical content, onboarding, interviews, and community-building activities

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a senior engineer who combines deep technical expertise with strong product and business understanding. The ideal candidate will have:

• At least 7-8 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails and React
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• A track record of solving complex technical problems in production environments
• The ability to frame user and product problems and deliver simple, pragmatic solutions
• Expertise in at least one major part of a modern web stack, with the ability to quickly become autonomous on new initiatives
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly
• A collaborative mindset and ownership mentality for delivering reliable solutions
• Comfort working with complex business domains (experience with accounting or financial systems is a plus)

This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in Europe, within a maximum of two hours from CET time zone.
