About the Role
Amazon maintains an advanced network of fulfillment centers across North America, supported by strategically positioned facilities designed for speed, efficiency, and customer delivery. As Senior Development Manager for Global Realty, you'll drive acquisition, disposition, and facility development decisions that shape our operational footprint. This full-time position offers the opportunity to influence real estate strategy with direct impact on Amazon's operational excellence and long-term growth.
What You'll Do
- Identify, evaluate, and acquire real estate across North American markets, conducting detailed feasibility and financial analyses
- Negotiate complex commercial lease and purchase agreements with property owners, developers, and institutional investors
- Oversee facility development initiatives from planning through operational readiness, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder coordination
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and logistics leaders to align real estate strategy with business objectives
- Assess market conditions and competitive dynamics to inform portfolio optimization decisions
- Develop and execute disposition strategies for underperforming or strategically non-essential facilities
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of real estate development, acquisition, or portfolio management experience in industrial, logistics, or fulfillment sectors
- Demonstrated success negotiating substantial commercial real estate transactions
- Strong financial analysis skills and experience managing large capital budgets
- Strategic mindset paired with strong project execution capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Comfort working in a data-driven, fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
