About the Role
Adjunct faculty are integral to Liberty University's mission of Training Champions for Christ. In this position, you will prepare graduate students for biblical counseling and pastoral ministry by delivering rigorous, biblically grounded instruction while modeling a personal commitment to Christian worldview and spiritual formation.
What You'll Do
- Teach online graduate courses in biblical counseling, combining biblical truth with contemporary counseling theory and clinical practice
- Develop and deliver course content that equips students with biblical counseling competencies and pastoral care skills
- Assess student learning through assignments, case studies, and applied counseling projects
- Mentor graduate students in theological reflection, ethical practice, and spiritual maturity as Christian practitioners
- Facilitate student engagement through virtual office hours, discussion leadership, and constructive feedback
- Embody and model a Christian worldview aligned with Liberty University's biblical values and mission
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, Christian education, theology, pastoral ministry, or related field
- Demonstrated expertise in biblical counseling, pastoral care, spiritual direction, or faith-integrated therapeutic practice
- Active pastoral or counseling experience grounded in Christian practice and biblical truth
- Authentic personal commitment to Christian spiritual formation and a biblically informed worldview
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for teaching at the graduate level
