HR Payroll And Benefits Specialist

Bridgeway Academy is seeking an HR Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our team in Bexley, Franklin County. This full-time position offers a salary of $50,000–$65,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

You'll be the operational heart of our HR function, managing payroll processing and employee benefits administration that keeps our organization running smoothly. In this role, you'll ensure accurate, timely compensation for our staff while administering benefits programs that support their well-being—enabling our team to focus on our core mission of serving children and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities.

What You'll Do

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule, maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
• Manage and administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits offerings
• Maintain comprehensive payroll records, reconcile accounts, and prepare required reports and documentation
• Serve as the primary contact for employee questions regarding payroll and benefits
• Coordinate with external payroll processors, benefits carriers, and insurance providers
• Monitor regulatory changes and update processes to ensure ongoing compliance

What We're Looking For

• 1-3+ years of experience in payroll administration, HR operations, or related roles
• Hands-on proficiency with payroll software systems and platforms
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially with numerical accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Professional judgment regarding confidential employee information
• Clear communication skills and collaborative approach to working across departments
