Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Officer to join our growing School Trust in Croydon. Supporting three schools across South London, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive human resources support and ensuring the smooth operation of these educational institutions.

Core Duties

• Provide day-to-day HR administration and support for staff at all levels
• Manage employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
• Conduct performance appraisals and manage disciplinary processes
• Support the recruitment process, including advertising vacancies and shortlisting candidates
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to support a positive working environment
• Ensure effective communication of HR information across all levels of the organization

Qualifications

• A degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field is desirable but not essential
• Proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role within a school environment
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• A proactive approach to work and a commitment to delivering high-quality service

The salary range for this position is £32,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience). The contract is permanent, full-time. The start date is September 2026.
