About the Role

Join ALDI Stores in our mission to create a safer, healthier, and more productive workplace as a full-time Safety Coordinator (WHS) within the Safety Department. This 12-month fixed-term contract position is crucial for the efficient operation of the ALDI Safety Department. You will play an integral role in promoting and driving a positive safety culture by supporting operational activities.

Core Duties

• Support the implementation and maintenance of WHS policies, procedures, and programs
• Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Develop and deliver training sessions on safety practices and emergency response procedures
• Collaborate with management and staff to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions
• Ensure all WHS documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained
• Participate in incident investigations and contribute to the development of prevention strategies

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role within the Work Health and Safety field
• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of staff
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Australian Certificate in Work Health and Safety (ACWHS) or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
