Assistant Store Manager – Maroubra

Position Summary

As Assistant Store Manager at our Maroubra location, you'll support the Store Manager in running efficient, profitable daily operations. You'll lead a team, ensure excellent customer service, maintain store standards, and drive performance across all departments. This role offers hands-on involvement in every aspect of store management — from staff development to stock control to customer engagement.

Core Duties

• Assist in managing team scheduling, training, and performance to build a capable, motivated workforce
• Oversee stock rotation, merchandise displays, and store cleanliness to maintain ALDI's high standards
• Support opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and security protocols
• Respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and care
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
• Assist with financial management, including till reconciliation and loss prevention
• Liaise between head office and store staff to communicate policy and operational changes

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven retail or hospitality management experience, or demonstrated readiness to step into leadership
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and support team members
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Problem-solving mindset and a customer-first approach
