About the Role

As a Safety Coordinator in Hobbs, NM, you will serve as the on-the-ground safety presence for a major gas processing facility build. This is a 1099 contractor engagement beginning in mid-July with an anticipated duration of two to three months. You will work a day-shift schedule of approximately 50 hours per week across six days, partnering closely with field teams to uphold a strong culture of safety from the first day through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion daily safety practices across the gas processing facility worksite in Hobbs, NM.
• Monitor field activities to confirm compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct site walkthroughs, hazard assessments, and toolbox talks with crews.
• Document incidents, observations, and corrective actions, and escalate concerns promptly.
• Support project leadership in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized job site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Safety Coordinator or in a comparable industrial safety capacity.
• Familiarity with safety expectations on large-scale construction or gas processing projects.
• Willingness to work on-site in Hobbs, NM for the full project duration.
• Availability for a six-day, day-shift schedule of roughly 50 hours weekly.
• Comfortable engaging directly with field crews and leadership to drive safe outcomes.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay rate of $48 to $50 per hour, paid weekly, as a 1099 contractor.
• Per diem of $125 per day.
• Start date in mid-July with an estimated two-to-three-month assignment.
