RN - Registered Nurse – Part-Time at UAB Medicine in Irondale, Alabama

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced RN to join our Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) as a part-time team member. The 1South ICU, also known as the Medical ICU, offers a dynamic environment with 18 beds designed for critically ill patients.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and demanding setting
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
• Perform diagnostic tests and monitor patient responses
• Document all patient interactions and treatments accurately in the medical record
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• Current RN license in Alabama
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an ICU setting is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient-centered care philosophy
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including days and nights from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
