RN Oncology Infusion

Join Backus Hospital's Oncology Infusion team in Franklin as a Registered Nurse and play a vital role in delivering compassionate cancer care to patients across Connecticut.

About the Role

This is a full-time RN Oncology Infusion position based in Waterford, Connecticut, where you'll work Monday through Friday delivering specialized infusion therapies to oncology patients. As part of the Hartford HealthCare Cancer Institute network, you'll be at the center of advanced cancer treatment, supporting patients through their therapeutic journeys with clinical expertise and compassionate care.

What You'll Do

• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology-specific infusions according to protocols and physician orders
• Assess patients prior to infusion, monitor vital signs, and observe for adverse reactions during treatment
• Educate patients about their infusion therapies, expected side effects, and self-care during treatment
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation and ensure confidentiality of patient information
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients navigating cancer treatment

What We're Looking For

• Current Connecticut RN license in good standing
• Experience or demonstrated interest in oncology nursing
• Strong assessment and communication skills with patients and families
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence
