This is a full-time opportunity to lead comprehensive patient care in our critical care unit and make a direct impact on outcomes for our region's sickest patients.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced physician to provide comprehensive intensive care management for critically ill patients. As our Critical Care Intensivist, you will lead a multidisciplinary clinical team, oversee complex diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and serve as the primary voice in critical care decision-making across multiple patient acuities.

What You'll Do

• Direct and manage comprehensive care for critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention
• Collaborate with surgical, medical, and specialty teams on complex case management and clinical strategy
• Oversee mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic support, and advanced critical care therapies
• Lead family discussions regarding goals of care, prognosis, and end-of-life decisions
• Mentor and supervise nursing and clinical staff within the critical care environment
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical peer review

What We're Looking For

• Board certification or eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
• Valid North Carolina medical license
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Strong clinical expertise and decision-making skills in critical illness management
• Excellent communication abilities and collaborative approach to team-based care
• Commitment to ongoing medical education and professional development

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package including a guaranteed salary of $475,000 (based on experience), a $30,000 sign-on bonus, and $10,000 relocation assistance. Additional benefits include five days of continuing medical education with a $5,000 annual allowance, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and paid malpractice insurance.
