About the Role
UCHealth is seeking an experienced RN to join our Orthopedic and Spine Surgery unit as a night shift nurse. This part-time position is based onsite at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs and offers flexibility for nurses seeking evening and night work schedules. You'll care for patients in the immediate post-operative and acute care phases of orthopedic and spine recovery.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and spine surgery patients during night shifts
- Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess post-operative recovery progress
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with the night shift care team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
- Respond to patient needs and support families throughout evening and night hours
- Maintain a safe, clean patient care environment and follow infection control protocols
What We're Looking For
- Current RN licensure in Colorado
- Experience in acute care nursing, preferably in medical-surgical, orthopedic, or spine settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work night shift hours and thrive in an onsite hospital environment

Position Details
This is a part-time position averaging 48 hours per pay period, working night shifts. The role is onsite with no remote or hybrid option. Compensation ranges from $35.29 to $54.71 per hour, based on relevant nursing experience.
