RN Acute Care High Acuity Cardiac Nights

Join UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs as a Registered Nurse in our High Acuity Cardiac unit. This full-time, nights position offers an excellent opportunity to deliver specialized cardiac care during evening and overnight shifts at our Stratmoor Hills location.

About the Role

This is a full-time nursing position in our High Acuity Medical Cardiac department, based on a 0.9 FTE schedule working nights. You'll be part of a dedicated team providing intensive cardiovascular care during evening and overnight hours, when acute cardiac patients often require the most vigilant monitoring and rapid clinical decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care in our high-acuity cardiac setting, monitoring patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver evidence-based interventions for acute cardiac patients
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interprofessional team to optimize patient outcomes
• Operate cardiac monitoring equipment and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Educate patients and families about their cardiac conditions and post-acute care instructions
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation and patient records
• Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement in the unit

What We're Looking For

• Current RN license in Colorado
• Experience in acute care settings, with preference for cardiac or high-acuity medical nursing
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work independently during night shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development
• Ability to adapt to the demands of overnight shift work

Compensation and Schedule

This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $35.29 to $54.71 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. You'll work a night shift schedule at approximately 72 hours per two-week pay period.
