Risk Management Coordinator

Rio Grande Electric Cooperative, Inc. seeks a dedicated Risk Management Coordinator to safeguard our workforce and communities across Brackettville, Fort Stockton, and El Paso, Texas. As a full-time member of our team, you'll champion workplace safety and electrical hazard awareness in a cooperative committed to protecting people and reliable power delivery.

You'll own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of our safety program—from frontline protocols to leadership engagement. Responsibilities

• Develop, launch, and oversee comprehensive workplace safety initiatives and programs across all three locations
• Design and deliver electrical safety training to schools, civic organizations, and community groups throughout the service territory
• Monitor organizational compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety standards and requirements
• Investigate workplace incidents, near-misses, and hazard reports; recommend and track corrective actions
• Create, review, and update safety policies, procedures, and documentation to reflect best practices
• Coordinate safety awareness campaigns, training schedules, and employee development
• Partner with operations, HR, and field teams to embed safety into daily work and decision-making

Who We're Looking For

• Background in occupational safety, risk management, or a closely related field
• Knowledge of OSHA standards, electrical safety principles, and utility industry practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to translate complex safety concepts
• Experience developing and delivering training content to diverse audiences
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through on initiatives
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and genuine commitment to safety-first culture
• Flexibility to travel among Brackettville, Fort Stockton, and El Paso as operational needs require
