Burlington is hiring a Shortage Control Associate for a full-time role in Portage, Kalamazoo County to help protect our store and deliver the safe, welcoming shopping environment our customers deserve.

About the Role

As a Shortage Control Associate, you'll be the eyes and ears of our security operations. Your presence on the sales floor makes a real difference—deterring theft, building customer confidence, and supporting our team in maintaining store integrity. You'll combine observational skills, professional demeanor, and a genuine commitment to loss prevention to help create the positive shopping environment Burlington customers expect.

What You'll Do

• Monitor store activities and customer behavior to identify and respond to potential security concerns
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service and assistance while maintaining visibility throughout the store
• Report suspected theft or suspicious incidents following company protocols
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct that reinforces store security and customer confidence
• Collaborate with store management and team members to support loss-prevention initiatives
• Work assigned shifts with reliability and punctuality
