Respiratory Therapist LPN

Cedars Healthcare Center is hiring a full-time Respiratory Therapist LPN to deliver specialized respiratory care to our senior residents in Eldorado Springs, Boulder County. About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist LPN at Cedars Healthcare Center, you'll work alongside our nursing and clinical teams to administer respiratory treatments, monitor patient breathing, and support residents' pulmonary health and comfort. You'll be part of a facility dedicated to excellence in elder care, where every team member plays a vital role in resident wellbeing.

What You'll Do

• Administer and monitor respiratory therapies, including oxygen administration and breathing treatments
• Assess and document resident respiratory status and response to treatment
• Collect and analyze respiratory specimens and perform point-of-care testing as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists on individualized care plans for residents with respiratory conditions
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, ensuring all devices are functioning safely and properly
• Educate residents and families about breathing exercises, energy conservation techniques, and respiratory health management
• Communicate clearly with the healthcare team about patient progress and any changes in respiratory status

What We're Looking For

• Current LPN licensure in Colorado in good standing
• Respiratory Therapist certification or willingness to pursue CRTT (Certified Respiratory Therapist Technician) certification
• Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Ability to work compassionately with elderly residents and their families
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and infection control protocols
• Physical ability to lift, assist, and move residents as needed
