Role Overview

Lumenii is a century-old non-profit organization based in Durban, dedicated to protecting and empowering vulnerable children and families across Greater Durban. We are seeking an experienced Resource Mobilisation Manager to build and grow our income streams through strategic fundraising efforts. This role requires a resourceful, self-driven fundraiser who can develop donor relationships, write compelling proposals, and secure funding for our vital work.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to increase revenue streams
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors
• Write and submit high-quality proposals and reports to secure funding
• Organize and attend fundraising events and donor meetings
• Analyze financial data and reporting to track progress and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with the team to ensure alignment of fundraising efforts with overall organizational goals

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in resource mobilisation or a related field, preferably within the non-profit sector
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with donors and stakeholders
• Proven ability to write persuasive proposals and reports
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising software is a plus
• A passion for child welfare and a commitment to the mission of Lumenii
