About the Role
As a Research Scientist II, you will direct health outcomes and clinical research initiatives that translate evidence into practice. What You'll Do
- Conceptualize, design, and oversee clinical outcomes research studies aligned with institutional and departmental research priorities
- Lead all phases of research execution: literature synthesis, protocol development, recruitment, data collection, and analysis
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses and create data visualizations that communicate research findings effectively
- Partner with clinical teams, clinician-investigators, and interdisciplinary collaborators to integrate research into clinical workflows
- Identify funding opportunities and develop compelling grant proposals to support research initiatives
- Author manuscripts and prepare research presentations for peer-reviewed journals and scientific conferences
- Maintain compliance with institutional review board standards, regulatory requirements, and research ethics guidelines
- Mentor junior research staff and contribute to the broader research community through publications and scholarship
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree or PhD in epidemiology, biostatistics, health outcomes research, clinical research, public health, or related discipline
- 3 or more years of professional experience in health research, clinical outcomes analysis, or equivalent research settings
- Proficiency with statistical software (R, SAS, SPSS, Stata) and data management platforms
- Proven ability to design methodologically sound studies and interpret complex data analyses
- Track record of writing research proposals, protocols, and peer-reviewed publications
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-directed work style with collaborative spirit in team-based research environments
- Solid foundation in research ethics, regulatory pathways, and IRB processes
