About This Position

The Reimbursement Specialist I at Broadway Ventures is a full-time, non-remote position. At Broadway Ventures, we empower government and private sector clients with tailored solutions that drive operational success, sustainability, and growth. The Reimbursement Specialist I plays a crucial role in managing Medicare cost report acceptance, tentative and final settlements, and interim rates for healthcare providers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Processes cost report correspondence including mail correspondence, cost report processing, tentative and final settlements.
  • Analyzes cost report documentation to ensure acceptability criteria are met for acceptance.
  • Updates systems (FISS, STAR) with applications processed by Provider Enrollment.
  • Reflects rate changes derived from payment rate reviews, provider reviews, and CMS-mandated changes in the systems.
  • Buils constructive working relationships with clients/customers, other work units, and individuals to meet mutual goals and objectives.
  • Collaborates with Recoupment, Systems Support, Provider Call Center, Provider Audit, Provider Enrollment, PreProcess, and Provider Education to support providers on various payment and systems issues.

Requirements

  • Experience in Medicare cost report processing and reconciliation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed analysis of cost reports.
  • Familiarity with FISS, STAR, and other relevant systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Aptitude for working collaboratively in a team environment.
