About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on our Trauma and Spine unit, you'll provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to patients throughout their recovery journey. This part-time position offers scheduling flexibility while maintaining the clinical impact that makes nursing rewarding. Our trauma and spine specialty requires nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and demonstrate expertise in post-operative and acute patient care.
What You'll Do
- Assess, monitor, and respond to patient needs in the trauma and spine specialty
- Administer medications, manage wound care, and support post-operative recovery
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital protocols
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, discharge instructions, and self-care
- Maintain a safe, clean patient environment and ensure infection control standards
- Respond thoughtfully to patient and family concerns, providing emotional support during recovery
What We're Looking For
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Experience in medical-surgical nursing, trauma care, or spine specialty (preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare setting
