Join HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital's surgical services team as a Registered Nurse (RN) and help deliver exceptional perioperative care in Pasadena, Pinellas County. About the Role
As an RN in Surgical Services, you'll be at the heart of our operating room and perioperative environment, supporting surgical teams and ensuring outstanding patient outcomes from pre-op through recovery. This is a full-time position where your clinical expertise and patient advocacy directly impact surgical success and patient safety.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams in the operating room, maintaining sterile techniques and environmental standards
- Monitor patient vital signs, assess clinical status, and respond to changes promptly
- Collaborate with anesthesia, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient safety
- Support evidence-based surgical recovery protocols designed to reduce complications and enhance outcomes
- Advocate for patients and their families throughout the perioperative journey
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with all care team members
What We're Looking For
- Current Florida RN license (or eligible for licensure)
- Active BLS certification
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and clinical excellence
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced surgical environment
- Experience in surgical or perioperative nursing preferred
