Registered Nurse New Graduate Med/Surg - Intermountain Health - Burley, Idaho
The Opportunity
Intermountain Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med/Surg unit in Burley, Idaho. As an RN on this team, you will provide safe and evidence-based care to adult patients, including comprehensive assessments, medication administration, care planning, and patient/family education. You will collaborate closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and preceptors while building strong clinical skills.
What You'll Do
- Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, ensuring accurate documentation of findings
- Administer medications safely and accurately according to hospital policies and protocols
- Create and implement individualized care plans for patients based on their specific needs and medical conditions
- Provide patient education on self-care techniques, medication management, and follow-up care instructions
- Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and preceptors to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence
Skills & Qualifications
- A current and valid RN license from the state of Idaho is required
- Completion of an accredited nursing program as a new graduate nurse
- Prior experience in Med/Surg or related areas preferred but not required
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential
- A commitment to patient-centered care and a collaborative team environment is necessary
