What This Role Involves

The role of a Registered or Enrolled Nurse inpatient unit at Wairau Hospital, Blenheim is to provide high-quality care and support to patients within a combined medical, surgical, and rehabilitation ward. The opportunity offers a permanent part-time position with regular shifts.

Core Duties

• To deliver patient-centered care in a team environment that supports holistic health outcomes.
• To manage patients' medical records, ensuring accurate documentation and communication with other healthcare professionals.
• To assist with the implementation of treatment plans and monitor patient progress.
• To provide education to patients and their families on self-care and management of conditions.

Skills & Qualifications

• A current registration with Health Practitioners Competence Assurance (HPCA) for Registered Nurses or the New Zealand Nursing Council for Enrolled Nurses is required.
• Exposure to inpatient care, particularly in medical, surgical, and rehabilitation settings would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
