Quantitative Trader / Researcher – Delta One Desk | Chicago

Join Eka Finance as a Quantitative Trader / Researcher on our Delta One Desk, based in Schiller Park, Cook County. We're seeking a talented professional to drive systematic trading and research initiatives for a fast-growing proprietary trading operation headquartered in Chicago.

About the Role

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work on Delta One strategies within a high-frequency trading environment. You'll collaborate with a team that has built proprietary low-latency execution systems entirely in-house and is now scaling into new trading verticals. Your work will directly impact our market-making operations and systematic strategy development.

What You'll Do

• Develop and refine quantitative models for Delta One strategies in options and underlying markets
• Analyze market data, identify inefficiencies, and research tradeable opportunities within our focus areas
• Backtest trading algorithms and validate research findings across market conditions
• Monitor live trading performance, conduct post-trade analysis, and iterate on strategy improvements
• Collaborate with engineers and traders to implement research into production systems
• Stay current with market structure, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics affecting Delta One trading

What We're Looking For

• Strong foundation in quantitative analysis, statistics, and programming (Python, C++, or similar)
• Experience with options markets, derivatives, or systematic trading strategies
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, build models, and communicate findings clearly
• Self-directed problem-solver comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, or equivalent professional experience
• Familiarity with low-latency systems, market microstructure, or algorithmic trading is advantageous
