About the Role
As Property Manager II with Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA), you'll take a leadership role in managing multifamily residential properties and ensuring a positive living environment for residents. This full-time position is based in Nashville and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in affordable housing.
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day property operations including lease management, rent collection, and resident communications
- Oversee maintenance and repairs to ensure properties meet code and quality standards
- Manage lease applications, move-ins, and move-outs while ensuring compliance with fair housing practices
- Build positive relationships with residents and respond to concerns and requests
- Monitor property budgets, track expenses, and report on operational performance
- Coordinate with maintenance staff and vendors on property upkeep and improvements
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all property activities
What We're Looking For
- Property management experience, ideally with public housing or multifamily residential properties
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and tenant-landlord laws
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple properties and prioritize competing demands
- Experience with property management software and basic Microsoft Office
- Customer service orientation and commitment to community engagement
