About the Role

As Program Director at MTM, you will own the relationship between MTM, its operational teams, support functions, and Transportation Providers, making sure transportation services are delivered efficiently and in full alignment with contract obligations. Serving as the primary internal bridge between MTM departments and the Client, you will safeguard compliance, financial performance, and service quality across every phase of the program. This is a full-time, in-office position; candidates must live in the State of Michigan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop both direct and indirect reports, offering coaching and career guidance to local staff.
  • Define, track, and achieve contract goals and business outcomes while keeping service delivery within budget.
  • Build a credible working partnership with the Client, acting as their go-to contact and responding promptly to requests and concerns.
  • Educate the Client on MTM procedures and clearly communicate expectations in both directions.
  • Own and monitor the department budget to hit established financial targets.
  • Lead quarterly Town Hall sessions with staff at all levels and document recurring Client satisfaction meetings.
  • Resolve service issues, complaints, and troubleshooting needs in coordination with the Client.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and stay current on changes to NET program rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Coordinate with transportation providers, facilities, and internal teams to uphold safety and quality standards.
  • Plan proactively for growth, and carry out disciplinary actions and terminations when required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years managing large, profitable operations teams within a multimillion-dollar contract setting (10 years preferred).
  • Proven background in contract implementation, performance management, and complex contracts involving SLAs and government compliance.
  • Experience leading sizable teams of direct and indirect reports across all organizational levels.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict-management, analytical, and strategic planning skills, plus solid business and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of managed care, quality improvement, and contracting; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred: PMI Project Management certification, Six Sigma/Lean experience, and exposure to Medicaid or State programs.
