Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential streaming advertising technology company in their search for a founding Principal Security Engineer based in Paris. Our client operates a platform serving thousands of brands and has recently completed a strategic acquisition that significantly expanded their scale and data capabilities. This is a rare opportunity to build and own the security function from the ground up at a fast-growing organization processing significant advertising spend.

As the first dedicated security hire, you'll define the risk model, set the security roadmap, and embed security practices across a cloud-native ecosystem. You'll report to the Head of Infrastructure and work within a lean six-person team, with coordination responsibilities extending to enterprise security partners following the recent acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Map the organization's risk model across all major systems and establish clear security roadmap priorities
• Design and implement secure defaults and guardrails across the engineering toolset, making secure paths the easiest paths
• Harden security across cloud-native infrastructure spanning AWS and GCP, with services running on Kubernetes in a GitOps deployment model
• Own end-to-end access management from onboarding through offboarding, automating processes wherever possible
• Prioritize vulnerability findings by real exposure, assign remediation tasks, and track resolution to closure
• Own security incident response from initial detection through final resolution
• Launch and manage a private bug bounty program
• Maintain SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and drive future compliance initiatives
• Define security posture requirements that enable enterprise deals to clear security reviews efficiently
• Establish practical AI security policies covering both customer-facing products and internal team usage
• Design and deliver security awareness training with measurable behavior change outcomes

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience building a security function as a company's first security hire
• Strong coding ability with deep cloud-native security expertise
• Hands-on experience managing compliance frameworks at scale (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA)
• Practical experience managing AI security risk, both in production systems and internal tooling usage
• Ability to transform manual security processes into automated pipelines
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments where security must enable rather than block business objectives

Preferred experience:

• Successfully operated a private bug bounty program
• Advertising technology security background with exposure to US privacy regulations (CCPA/CPRA, VPPA) in data-intensive environments
• Navigated security integration challenges during company acquisitions
