About the Role
This is a dynamic position within a political campaign environment where your content strategy will directly influence how the campaign's message reaches and engages audiences. As a Platforms Associate specializing in long-form content, you'll be responsible for identifying opportunities in the news cycle, responding to emerging conversations, and amplifying core campaign messaging through carefully crafted, substantive pieces. You'll work closely with campaign leadership to translate strategic priorities into content that resonates with digital audiences across YouTube, Facebook, and Substack.
What You'll Do
- Create and publish original, timely pieces that leverage current events and cultural moments to advance campaign objectives
- Develop long-form written narratives, video scripts, and multimedia content for YouTube, Facebook, and Substack platforms
- Monitor breaking news and emerging opportunities to capitalize on moments for rapid content deployment
- Partner with campaign teams to align messaging strategy with content initiatives and voter engagement efforts
- Track and interpret audience engagement data to refine content strategy across all platforms
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience creating content for digital platforms, particularly YouTube, Facebook, or email newsletters
- Strong writing skills with ability to adapt tone and style across different platforms and audiences
- Understanding of current events, news cycles, and social media trends
- Background in campaign or political communications highly valued
- Ability to work effectively on fast-moving deadlines in a collaborative environment
