Position Summary

The Planned Giving Officer II will support our Planned Giving team within the Transformative Engagement Division. This role involves developing long-term relationships with prospective planned giving donors through voice-to-voice interaction and occasional face-to-face donor development. The position requires a two-year degree or equivalent work experience, with a preference for a bachelor's degree. Five years of work experience are required, including at least three years in sales/fundraising with proven success in closing large gifts.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow fundraising relationships with loyal donors whose giving capacity ranges from $10,000 and up, aiming to close planned gifts.
  • Qualify higher-level leads and develop donor relationships for referrals to Planned Giving Directors.
  • Steward World Vision Legacy Society donors to increase retention levels.
  • Cultivate and retain a pipeline of planned gifts by coaching other officers.
  • Help carry out the mission, vision, and strategies of our Christian organization.
  • Personify the ministry of World Vision by witnessing to Christ and ministering to others through life, deed, word, and sign. Responsibilities include keeping Christ central in individual and corporate life and actively participating in spiritual activities.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of two-year degree or equivalent work experience (four years).
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Five years of work experience, including at least three years in sales/fundraising with a proven ability to take prospects through the sales cycle to close large gifts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for developing donor relationships.
