What This Role Involves
The Manager of Institutional Giving is responsible for managing all aspects of institutional giving to support the mission and growth of Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania (PPWP). This includes developing and implementing strategies to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and other institutional donors. The role involves building relationships with potential funders, writing compelling proposals, tracking grant cycles, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a comprehensive institutional giving strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and priorities.
- Identifying and cultivating relationships with potential institutional donors, including foundations, corporations, and other organizations.
- Writing and submitting grant proposals and reports to secure funding from various sources.
- Tracking and managing donor relationships, including maintaining accurate records of interactions and progress.
- Collaborating with the development team and other departments to ensure institutional giving efforts support overall fundraising goals.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional who can lead our institutional giving efforts. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully securing significant grants from multiple sources, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with potential donors. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with at least five years of experience in institutional or corporate fundraising.
