About This Position

The Manager Major Giving at ELMO is a full-time role based in Marion, Iowa. This position will be responsible for leading and growing major giving initiatives to support the organization's mission of enhancing community engagement and philanthropy.

Responsibilities

• Leverage relationships with key donors to secure significant contributions
• Develop and implement strategies to increase major gift solicitations
• Manage a portfolio of major donors, ensuring ongoing stewardship and cultivation
• Collaborate with the development team to plan and execute fundraising events
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff members in the development department

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in major giving or related field
• Proven track record of securing significant donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
• A deep understanding of donor engagement strategies and fundraising best practices
