Family First, Inc. is seeking a full‑time Foundations & Planned Giving Manager to join its team in Tampa, Hillsborough County.
About the Role
In this position you will lead foundation grant acquisition and planned giving initiatives, working closely with the Director of Development to advance the organization’s fundraising strategy. You will thrive in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment where your nonprofit experience drives meaningful impact for families served by Family First supports.
What You'll Do
- Identify and research foundation grant opportunities aligned with program goals
- Prepare compelling proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports
- Maintain a calendar of deadlines and ensure timely submission of all applications
- Cultivate and steward relationships with foundation program officers and trustees
- Manage the planned giving pipeline, including gift identification, donor outreach, and acknowledgment
- Track and report on grant performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure compliance with grant requirements
- Keep donor and prospect data current in the organization’s CRM system
What We're Looking For
- Proven nonprofit experience, preferably in foundation grant writing or planned giving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for crafting persuasive proposals
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with philanthropic partners
- Familiarity with prospect research tools and fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Bloomerang)
- Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
- Experience working as part of a development team in a fast‑paced setting
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
