About the Role
As a Physical Therapist in a school setting, you'll provide direct therapeutic services to students with diverse physical therapy needs. This is a 30-hour-per-week position running throughout the full school year, giving you stability and the flexibility of an academic calendar.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and assess students' physical abilities, mobility, and motor skills
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP goals
- Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, balance, and functional movement
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
- Document progress, maintain detailed treatment records, and communicate outcomes to the IEP team
- Adapt therapy techniques and environments to meet the unique needs of students in a school-based setting
What We're Looking For
- Current Physical Therapy license in California
- Experience working with students in educational or clinical settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents of varying ability levels
