About the Role

As a Personal Injury Claims Examiner at GEICO, you'll be responsible for the thorough evaluation and settlement of personal injury claims. You'll work directly with claimants, medical providers, and other stakeholders to gather information, assess liability, and determine appropriate claim resolution. This is a hands-on position where attention to detail, sound judgment, and clear communication directly impact customer outcomes and company performance.

What You'll Do

• Investigate personal injury claims by reviewing documentation, medical records, and police reports
• Conduct interviews with claimants, witnesses, and medical professionals to gather facts and assess claim validity
• Evaluate liability, causation, and damages to determine fair claim value
• Prepare detailed claim reports and recommendations based on policy terms and applicable law
• Communicate claim decisions and next steps to claimants and their representatives
• Maintain accurate, organized claim files and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Follow up on outstanding items and keep claims moving toward timely resolution
• Collaborate with adjusters, attorneys, and medical providers as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to research, organize, and analyze complex information
• Professional judgment and decision-making under pressure
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Experience in claims handling, customer service, or related field is valued
• Familiarity with insurance claims processes is beneficial
• Willingness to learn and grow within the insurance industry
