About the Role

Our UrgentVet hospitals fill the important gap between standard daytime practices and costly overnight emergency facilities, delivering convenient after-hours treatment for canine and feline patients—without the steep price tag of a traditional ER visit. As a Part-Time Urgent Care Veterinary Technician/Senior Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our clinical team in a modern, fully paperless environment built for efficient, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in evaluating and treating common urgent conditions, including wound care, ear infections, and gastrointestinal issues such as vomiting and diarrhea
• Provide attentive, gentle handling and monitoring of dog and cat patients throughout each visit
• Support end-of-life and euthanasia services with empathy for patients and their families
• Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and supplies for a variety of urgent cases
• Maintain accurate digital records within our paperless clinic systems
• Communicate clearly with pet owners and collaborate closely with the wider hospital team

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a veterinary technician or senior veterinary assistant in a clinical setting
• Comfort working in a busy, time-sensitive urgent care or emergency environment
• Strong technical, patient-handling, and client communication skills
• Compassion and composure when supporting families during difficult moments
• Availability for part-time, after-hours scheduling at our Manchester location
