About the Role

Aledo ISD is seeking dedicated bilingual tutors to deliver targeted, personalized instructional support to students who need additional academic guidance. As a part-time bilingual tutor, you'll work directly with individual students and small groups, providing research-based interventions designed to strengthen reading, mathematics, language arts, and essential academic skills. Your bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English will be critical to supporting students' language development and overall academic success.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions aligned with classroom curriculum and student learning objectives
  • Deliver bilingual instruction in both Spanish and English using evidence-based teaching strategies
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Maintain detailed records of student performance and tutoring sessions
  • Coordinate with classroom teachers to ensure tutoring supports and reinforces classroom learning
  • Work flexibly across multiple assigned school campuses within the district

What We're Looking For

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (required)
  • Teaching certification, bachelor's degree in any field, or equivalent professional credentials
  • Instructional competency in core academic subjects, particularly reading and mathematics
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Commitment to supporting students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds
  • Reliability and ability to manage flexible scheduling across multiple locations

Compensation

Pay is structured based on your professional qualifications and credentials. Certified teachers earn $37 per hour. Those with a bachelor's degree earn $30 per hour. Applicants with equivalent educational or professional experience may be considered for appropriate placement. All positions are compensated based on actual hours worked.
