The Opportunity
As a ParaEducator (1:1), you'll serve as a vital support system for a student receiving specialized services. This full-time role begins in August 2026 and offers the chance to work closely with students, teachers, and families to remove barriers to learning and promote academic achievement. You'll be part of a school community that values collaboration, student-centered approaches, and evidence-based practices.
What You'll Do
- Provide individualized, one-on-one support to assigned students across academic and social-emotional domains
- Assist with instructional activities and classroom routines under the guidance of special education teachers
- Support students with behavioral management, communication strategies, and daily living skills as needed
- Help facilitate student participation in classroom and school activities
- Communicate with teachers and families about student progress and needs
- Perform clerical and organizational tasks supporting the instructional program
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to work effectively with diverse learners, including students with disabilities or behavioral needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to student-centered support
- Willingness to follow direction from special education teachers and school administrators
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
