Packaging Operator- Evenings

Advance Local is hiring a full-time Packaging Operator for evening shifts at our production facility in Williams Grv, Cumberland County. If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a team that strengthens communities through quality newspaper production, we'd like to meet you.

What This Role Involves

As a Packaging Operator, you'll be responsible for preparing newspapers for distribution by inserting advertisements and promotional materials. Your work directly supports both Advance Local publications and those of our partners, ensuring every bundle meets our standards for quality and accuracy. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced production environment where precision and efficiency matter.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Insert advertisements and client materials into newspapers with speed and accuracy
• Inspect bundles to confirm all inserts are properly placed and complete
• Organize and prepare packaged newspapers for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safe, efficient operations
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
• Follow all facility safety protocols and procedures

Qualifications

• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements with accuracy and attention to detail
• Comfort working in a production environment during evening hours
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
