Operations SME – Langley AFB, VA

Serco is hiring an Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support Air Combat Command's Combat Air Forces Distributed Training Center (CAF DTC) at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia. This is a full-time position ideal for former military aviators and combat systems officers with operational expertise in modern air combat operations.

About the Role

The Combat Air Forces Distributed Training Center at Langley AFB provides advanced training and integration support to combat aviation units around the world. As an Operations SME, you'll help deliver world-class instruction across large force engagements and specialized small team scenarios. This role leverages the CAF DTC's cutting-edge virtual environment to prepare combat units for emerging threats and modern operational challenges.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver integration training scenarios for Air Combat Command units
• Support both large force and small team training exercises in a virtual environment
• Provide operational expertise to combat units conducting distributed training
• Develop realistic scenarios that reflect current tactical threats and operational requirements
• Facilitate training events for air combat units stationed globally

What We're Looking For

• Former Fighter Pilot, Weapons System Officer (WSO), Combat Systems Officer (CSO), or Naval Flight Officer (NFO)
• Demonstrated expertise in air combat operations and tactics
• Ability to translate operational experience into effective training delivery
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse military audiences
• Full-time availability for this position at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia
