Nutrition Services Manager(Anticipated) 2026-2027 School Year

Join Delaware Schools Consortium is seeking a Nutrition Services Manager to lead our school meal program during the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full-time position based in the US, offering an opportunity to make a direct impact on student health and nutrition in our district.

What This Role Involves

As Nutrition Services Manager for Join Delaware Schools Consortium, you'll oversee all aspects of our school food service operations. This leadership position is crucial to ensuring students receive nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining efficient, compliant programs across our schools. You'll report to district administration and work closely with school principals, food service staff, and nutrition stakeholders to deliver excellence in school nutrition.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise food service staff and daily meal production across assigned school sites
• Plan, develop, and implement nutritious menus that meet USDA nutrition standards and student preferences
• Manage food service budgets, purchasing, and inventory to optimize cost-effectiveness and quality
• Ensure compliance with health, food safety, and district nutrition policies and regulations
• Monitor meal program participation and gather feedback to continuously improve service
• Coordinate training and professional development for nutrition and food service team members
• Communicate with school administrators, parents, and students about nutrition programs and initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing school food service operations or large-scale food service programs
• Knowledge of USDA meal program requirements and nutrition standards
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Budget management and financial planning experience
• Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to health compliance
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and district leadership
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in nutrition, food service management, or related field preferred
