What This Role Involves

As Nutrition Services Manager for Join Delaware Schools Consortium, you'll oversee all aspects of our school food service operations. You'll report to district administration and work closely with school principals, food service staff, and nutrition stakeholders to deliver excellence in school nutrition.

Responsibilities

  • Manage food service budgets, purchasing, and inventory to optimize cost-effectiveness and quality

  • Proven experience managing school food service operations or large-scale food service programs
  • Knowledge of USDA meal program requirements and nutrition standards
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Budget management and financial planning experience
  • Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to health compliance
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, families, and district leadership
  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in nutrition, food service management, or related field preferred
