About the Role
The NPHS Assistant Girls Golf Coach is a full-time, on-site athletics position based at New Prairie High School in the United States. Working alongside the head coaching staff, you will help guide student-athletes through practices, competitions, and skill development while reinforcing the values of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship that define New Prairie United School Corporation athletics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and running effective practice sessions and team activities
- Help instruct players in golf fundamentals, technique, course management, and competitive strategy
- Support athletes throughout matches, tournaments, and scheduled team events
- Model and promote strong leadership, positive attitudes, and good sportsmanship
- Contribute to a safe, encouraging, and team-focused environment for all student-athletes
Qualifications
- Solid, fundamental knowledge of the sport of golf
- Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
- Commitment to the academic and personal growth of high school student-athletes
- Ability to meet any coaching eligibility or certification requirements set by the school corporation and applicable athletic associations
