Sinclair Broadcast Group is hiring a News Videographer to join 7 News in Arlington, Arlington County, in a full-time position. As a videographer, you'll produce broadcast-quality content for daily news programs, capturing compelling stories that range from breaking news coverage to in-depth features and investigative reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate professional HD video cameras and audio equipment for news assignments in the field
- Conduct interviews with newsmakers, sources, and subjects as part of story gathering
- Shoot and log raw footage, then edit material for on-air broadcast within tight deadlines
- Work collaboratively with reporters and news directors to execute visual storytelling that enhances news value
- Troubleshoot technical equipment issues and perform basic maintenance to keep gear broadcast-ready
- Contribute story ideas and visual concepts that strengthen news packages and feature segments
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Electronic News Gathering (ENG) experience at a network-affiliated news organization
- Demonstrated proficiency with HD video cameras, editing software, and newsroom broadcast systems
- Strong visual sense and understanding of composition, lighting, and audio best practices
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet daily broadcast production deadlines
- Collaborative approach to working with reporters, producers, and newsroom teams
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to news assignments
