About the Role
As a Morning News Producer with Gray Media, you will shape the newscasts that wake up viewers across central Wisconsin. Key Responsibilities
- Plan, write, and produce compelling morning newscasts for WSAW/WZAW from start to finish.
- Select and prioritize stories, deciding placement, pacing, and overall flow of each show.
- Craft clear, accurate, and original scripts, headlines, and on-screen graphics.
- Coordinate closely with anchors, reporters, photographers, and the production team during live broadcasts.
- Monitor breaking news and adjust the rundown quickly to keep coverage current.
- Incorporate digital and social content to extend stories beyond the broadcast.
